What the heck is biotech?
Biotechnology is not a new science...it is a new way of doing science. Specialized equipment is used to apply the principles of engineering and technology to the field of biology. The biotech industry in California is growing quickly and many researchers in pharmacology, medicine, and agriculture need technicians trained to use biotech techniques and machinery. The goal of Biotech Pathways is to help students and teachers learn more about biotechnology, giving everyone a chance to be involved in this exciting field.
